Our Ethos

At Park Nursery, we firmly uphold a set of core values and beliefs that shape our approach to childcare and early education. Our mission is straightforward yet profoundly important – to provide every child in our care with a foundation of love, compassion, and kindness that will serve as the bedrock for their future. Our aim is to provide children with tools to manage and thrive in school and then the wider community. To that end, we strongly promote the development of self-esteem, resilience, independence and social skills.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest every penny we receive to enhance our facilities and improve the lives of our children.

Educational Philosophy:

We believe in child-led learning. Our philosophy revolves around supporting the individual needs of each child, ensuring they develop at their own pace while building self-confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. Our goal is for every child to step into the world with confidence, ready to embrace the journey of learning and self-discovery.

Safety and Wellbeing

The safety and wellbeing of our children are our top priorities. Each member of our dedicated staff holds a clear and valid DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding Children qualifications. We have taken every measure to create a secure and nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Rachael Bridges.

  • Our nursery is located within a beautiful Victorian school building, where natural light floods through big windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. We have ample room for play and exploration, both indoors and in our secure outdoor area. Our environment is designed to provide sensory stimulation, encouraging children to learn through their senses and curiosity.

  • We understand the importance of involving parents in the nurturing process. We work closely with parents to provide the best possible care for their children, including offering appropriate foods and consistency according to the stage of weaning, or introducing hand-held foods to aid in the development of baby-led weaning.

  • At Park Nursery we firmly believe in equality and inclusivity. We welcome and embrace every child who enters our doors, valuing the diversity of our nursery community.

  • Every member of staff holds a clear and valid CRB, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding children qualification.

Quality of Care:

To ensure that every child receives the attention and care they deserve, we assign a designated key worker to each child. These key workers are responsible for completing observations and summary sheets per the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring that each child's unique developmental journey is documented and supported.
